Fields of Applications
Video Enhancer is applied for video surveillance in visually challenging scenes, as well as in case of poor image quality delivered by cameras, caused by disturbances and artifacts in the image such as fog, rain or snow, poor contrast or shaking cameras. Video Enhancer especially optimizes the images delivered by optical cameras. Some of the processing steps even increase the image quality delivered by infrared or thermal cameras.
Video Enhancer optimizes video data in order to enhance the detection of events in an image and to improve analysis results. It allows the ﬁltering of static disturbances such as fog or smoke, but also of environmental inﬂuences like rain or snow. Also blurred images caused by strong wind and leading to shaking cameras can be stabilized by matching feature points to a reference image.
